Cat Lift Trucks is instead the forklift division of the Group. Caterpillar is also a leader in technology and a major producer of machinery for construction and mining activities, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines.

Caterpillar Hydraulics Italia s.r.l., based in Jesi (AN), is one of Caterpillar’s Italian plants, where they produce hydraulic cylinders that are installed on Caterpillar machines. The process consists of mechanical work, welding, assembly, and final painting of the hydraulic cylinder.

CHALLENGE 

Caterpillar Hydraulics Italia s.r.l. chose Tesar for production management and industrial quality management.

The company chose motis2 to collect data and manage and control production, and SICOP module 1 for statistical process control.

Tesar also interfaced the ERP management software present at the company (AS/400 ACG V.2).

From the CAT hardware perspective, the company chose TS 300 touch-screen industrial terminals.
