Digitization is a key asset in the Industry 4.0 model
Italy is Europe’s second largest manufacturing industry in terms of net output (Editor’s note: CSC analysis on UNCTAD, IHS and UN-Comtrade data – 2018 data): regularly upgrading quality means that we remain strong in competition with emerging countries, whose dynamics make them vulnerable to affordable pricing policies. The success of Made in Italy has been achieved through ideas and know-how; if we want to develop its success, you can’t ignore digitization, for this opens door to the use of revolutionary tools for competitive innovation, such as artificial intelligence, system integration and, in particular, data acquisition and management.
